Farah Maalim, a Member of Parliament from Daadab, has been removed from the Wiper Party. Kalonzo Musyoka, the party leader, confirmed this during a news conference on Wednesday, January 15.
Kalonzo stated that Maalim had not respected the rights of Kenyans and had made disrespectful comments about mothers in the country.
Maalim’s removal shows there are problems within the party, especially about which political leaders to support. He had made comments that were in favour of William Ruto, which played a part in his expulsion.
This situation has led to many reactions on social media. Some people are suggesting that Maalim should also be removed from Parliament or even sent out of the country. Others are discussing what this means for his political future and what the party will do next.
Reports indicate that there have been ongoing issues between Maalim and the leadership of the Wiper Party. Kalonzo Musyoka had previously asked Maalim to resign and suggested he join the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition because Maalim’s actions did not match what the party wanted.
There are also reports of steps being taken to officially remove Maalim from the party, showing how serious the issues within the Wiper Party are.
According to this, he deserves even much more
