Arsenal activates Victor Gyokeres’ release clause of £63M

Victor Gyökeres is in the news because of his possible transfer to a new team, with Arsenal and Manchester United showing interest in him.

Arsenal is trying hard to sign Gyökeres. They have activated his £63 million release clause, which means they really want him, even though some earlier reports suggested they might wait until the summer to make their move.

Arsenal wants to improve their attack, especially since their player Gabriel Jesus is injured.

Manchester United is also interested in Gyökeres. This interest increased after Ruben Amorim became the head coach of United, as he had previously managed Gyökeres at Sporting CP.

There was hope that United would go for Gyökeres this summer because of an agreement between Gyökeres and Sporting that allowed him to leave for between £58.6 million and £62.8 million.

But now, with Arsenal making a move, it looks like United might have a tough time getting the striker right now.

Gyökeres has been very important for Sporting CP, scoring many goals and helping the team in both the Portuguese League and the Champions League.

However, he has a slight knee injury, and this has led to him resting to make sure he fully recovers. This could affect his transfer plans in the short term.

There has been a lot of talk about Gyökeres during this transfer window, with both Arsenal and Manchester United looking to strengthen their teams.

Arsenal’s action to activate the release clause shows they want to beat others like Manchester United, who might have been planning to sign him later.

This situation highlights that there is a high demand for good strikers in the Premier League, and things can change quickly during transfer windows.
