Zanele Sifuba, a speaker for the African National Congress (ANC) in the Free State Legislature, raised eyebrows after her video leaked online.

The video, which was extensively shared on Twitter and other social media sites, depicts Zanele Sifuba making out with an unidentified male as they are in a video conversation.

Sifuba’s video was purportedly revealed by the man in the film, who is said to be a Nigerian national after she purportedly declined to pay R300,000 in confidential funds.

The Speaker has seen “with contempt the widespread distribution of what is purported to be her without clothing images on social media platforms,” according to Sifuba spokeswoman Life Mokone.

The author of this article is an anonymous thug who has repeatedly attempted to obtain proceeds from the Speaker totalling R150,000.

This individual admitted, “Using multiple cellular lines, in such a last-ditch effort to persuade the Speaker to pony up the price for freedom, the political elite around the Speaker instructed him to come up with a sensuous content.”

According to Mokone, the person demanded that Sifuba be removed as Speaker.

“This, he said, was done to tarnish her reputation with the ANC Provincial Conference and, ultimately, to have her removed as Speaker of the Free State Legislature. Should the Speaker decline to pay the sum of money, as she did, the plan includes cyberbullying, blackmail, harassment, and murdering her character.”

“The Speaker has requested legal counsel to assist with dealing with those who take part in the additional distribution of such content,” the statement reads.

“Anyone whose work collaborates in the illegal distribution and transmission of these kinds of pictures is susceptible to both criminal and legal responsibility, which may result in them being imprisoned or subject to a claim for damages,” continued Mokone.
