President Ruto has emphasised that the availability of financing for affordable housing will make it possible for average people to purchase homes.


The president stated that the two main components of the project to ensure that every Kenyan benefits will be social housing and affordable housing.


According to the President, people with low incomes will pay interest rates as low as 3% annually, whereas the market rate is 18% annually.


He said, "We have the ability to change and transform Kenya during our lifetimes."


2,000 units of Mzizima Affordable Housing Phase I and 1,400 units of Buxton Point Affordable Housing Phase 2 in Mvita, Mombasa County, were broken ground during the speech by the Head of State.


Additionally, the President gave the new owners of Buxton Point Affordable Housing Phase I.

President Ruto visited the Ksh 2 billion Shimoni Fish Port in Lunga Lunga, Kwale County, earlier today, and he also gave a Ksh 691 million cheque to support Beach Management Units in the five coastal counties.


Additionally, he put Wasini and Kwale County's Mkwiro Island into service as mini-grids for electricity.


Afterwards, the President hosted Their Royal Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla when they were in Mombasa County, at the Kenya Navy Base Mtongwe.


Along with Governors Fatuma Achani (Kwale) and Abdullswamad Nassir (Mombasa), a number of MPs and MCAs were in attendance, as well as Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, First Lady Rachel Ruto, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Cabinet Secretaries Davis Chirchir, Salim Mvurya, Alice Wahome, Aden Duale, and Kipchumba Murkomen.
